In 1944, due to WWII, they temporarily merged with the Pittsburgh Steelers and were commonly referred to as Card-Pitt.
They moved to St Louis, Missouri in 1960 and became the St Louis Cardinals.
In 1988 they moved to Phoenix, Arizona and became the Phoenix Cardinals and finally changed to Arizona Cardinals in 1994.
